History

The project cost 313 crore (US$47 million). The gauge conversion work of the 61 kilometres (38 mi) stretch was completed. There are six trains running forward and backward in this route. Five of them are slow moving passenger trains.

There are trains to Mysore at 7.38 am, 10.00am, 11.28am, 3.38pm, 5.38pm, 6.43pm and 9.33 pm. The train at 7.38 am is a fast passenger to Bangalore. There are trains to Chamarajanagar at 5.30 am, 7.30 am, 9.25 am, 10.50 am, 12.50pm, 2.50pm and 6.50pm.
