Nakul Dubey is an Indian politician from the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) and a former urban development minister in Government of Uttar Pradesh in the Mayawati government. He is the prominent leader of BSP from Lucknow. Recently he was declared as BSP candidate from Lucknow Lok Sabha Seat against Rajnath Singh,who was the National president of BJP.

Before joining politics in 2007, Dubey was an advocate by profession practising in Lucknow High Court. He was also elected as the member of prestigious Bar Council of Uttar Pradesh in 2006, securing the maximum votes in the entire state. He quit his career as a lawyer in 2007 and contested in the Vidhan Sabha elections of Uttar Pradesh from Mahona seat, nominated by BSP. He was appointed as the minister of Urban Development, 2007-12.He contested the 2012 Legislative Assembly elections from bakshi ka talab constituency but lost by a margin of few hundred votes Presently, he is contesting in the Lok Sabha elections from Lucknow, as the candidate of Bahujan Samaj Party. Mr. Dubey was awarded Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission Award for the best work in Kanpur. The major plus point of his candidature is his clean background with no criminal or legal issue tracing his path.
