Ny Nunca Duerme translated as "The City that never sleeps" is a reality show based in the Hispanic community of New York. This show is about six women that are trying to make it in their respective career in the city that never sleeps. This show was first aired April 1, 2016 on Telemicro Internacional a Dominican television station seen in the United States by cable carriers Direct TV and Time Warner Cable.

The reality show is a docu-drama based on the lives of 6 ambitious Latina women entrepreneurs passionately working on achieving the American dream while swimming with the sharks in the big city. Ny Nunca Duerme, a 12 episode docu-drama reality show, created by Raquel Urena follows the lives of 6 entrepreneurs that show us how to survive and succeed in the big apple. These six strong willed Hispanic women begin to develop a strong bond of friendship, but soon their ego's, love life, self-esteem issues and financial crisis become apparent creating personality clashes. Gossip creates such conflict that threatens to break this friendship, you will also hear music and visit the places most frequented by Latinos in New York.
Format
Each show begins by introducing the cast and showing them in their different areas of work, with their families and in diverse social scenes. They are active and enterprising women in every sense of the word. Determined to make a difference in their communities and families, these women are bold and prepared to excel in their careers and families without neglecting the latest trends of fashion, beauty, and trends. But not everything is rosy as they are faced with disappointments and challenges in order to reach their goals. They give each other advice and share experiences as well as acquired wisdom from a Latina’s point of view. In addition, we have the participation and advice of experts in the area of relationships and team building. Along the way they encounter surprises and losses but they overcome with the help of the group or life coaches and as a result become a better person. Can the relationship between these strong-minded women survive? Or will gossip, ego, and envy prevail. Six truly extraordinary women lovers of luxury and willing to work non-stop because they believe that if they can make it in NY they can make it anywhere!
Cast
Susana Osoria is a prominent restaurateur in the city. Born and raised in a small town in the Dominican Republic she and her brother have developed a successful chain of restaurants that have modernized the traditional Dominican cuisine and have created a concept unique in its kind. Mamajuana, Mamasushi and Chinito Latino are part of their restaurant empire. Susana has received many awards for her leadership in the community and although she comes across a very humble person she is ready to argue with anyone about what she believes is right.
Meiling Aquino is a publicist very well known in the Uptown New York Latino scene. Lover of everything that has to do with luxury and fashion. She is always on top of the latest trends and has very low tolerance for people that are not stylish. Many times her desire to help comes across as bullying because of her critical statements. She owns a public relations and marketing agency and is the person to go to if you want to reach the vast Latino community. Meiling is very goal oriented but at times has a very explosive personality which gets her into trouble and backs up her objectives
Jessica Pereira is a model, TV and radio host for a "el Vacilon de la mañana at La mega radio station Every day Jessica is heard by over a million people. Born in Venezuela, she began a career in medicine that has been instrumental to achieve her monumental body and giving online health and beauty tips. In 2008, Jessica put on her entrepreneurial hat and opened a successful Beauty spa that still remains open in the Dominican Republic that she manages over the phone.
Katty Ortiz is an entrepreneur, music executive and philanthropist. She started her business as the authorized distributor in the Dominican Republic of Fajas Salome a Colombian shape wear. She owns a record label which she started with her husband musician Carlitos Wey and brother in law El Chuape. Katty is an innate business woman . Her creativity and shrewd negotiation skills have made her a very wealthy woman. Katy also founded an organization dedicated to helping the less privileged of the Dominican Republic.
Raquel Urena is a relationship expert for the Online Examiner, Certified Life Coach, and television producer. Born and raised in the United States she has lived in Boston, NY, Providence, Dominican Republic and Florida. Raquel has always maintained strong ties with New York although she has a love and hate relationship with the city. Her over 20 years of experience in the television industry do not prepare her to deal with the women in the cast as she produces this reality show with limited resources. Her true passion is learning how to release the full potential of human beings and takes it personal when she sees a woman being abused emotionally. Loves to read, hates all domestic work and please do not get in her way when she has PMS.
Grizel del Valle, is a multifaceted and talented performer. She is a classically trained singer, dancer and actor, affectionately known by her family, friends & fans alike as “Chachi”. Chachi spent a lot of time in their native island home of Puerto Rico, where she was introduced to bomba, plena & mambo and discovered her love for music, dance and her rich heritage & culture. Chachi’s natural beauty and talent, combined with her competitive spirit and desire to perform, was realized early in her life. From the age of seven and throughout her teens, she was a member of choirs, drama clubs & dance companies. She also played the trumpet and was also an all-star softball player.
Episodes
Episode 1- My business is your business Jessica and her morning show greet the Latin community of the tri-state area. Susana gets engaged on live television. Chachi prepares for his birthday party where she will entertain her guest by singing her favorite songs. Katty arrives at her new shop in the Bronx for the first time. Qiana's mother called to show her witchcraft that was left him at her business. Meiling organizes a concert for Fernando Villalona. Raquel coaches a young lady that is depressed. Susana cooks for her staff. Meiling and Qiana coordinate a ladies event. Katty meets one of her fans. Jessica, Meiling and Qiana are at the femme who dine event meanwhile Raquel gets upset because she is not invited.
Episode 2- Internal Conflicts The cast has a meeting at Mamajuana Cafe. Qiana goes to a Messiah concert. Chachi has a burlesque show at Duane Park. Raquel and Qiana meet at Travesías cafe to discuss conflict with other cast members. Susan and Raquel talk about how they will handle problems that have raised with the cast. Meiling and a group of friends sail around the New York Harbor. Cast gets together for foto session.
Episode 3 Credits are important Meiling negotiates contracts with executives. Chachi and Qiana are upset with Meiling and join her at a local restaurant to discuss their issues. Susan is worried about her daughter having a flash wedding. Jessica meets Meiling and is upset over her designer not getting credit. Katty and Jessica and meet up and Jessica questions her about her ex-husband and partner. Jessica doing exercises. Susana's daughter gets married.
Episode 4 Making Decisions Raquel is looking for a designer dress. Susana begins construction of her new restaurant. Katty is meeting a prospective client. Meiling and Raquel visit a spa and are worried about Jessica's age. Jessica is working on a choreography for an upcoming fundraising event. Cast visits one of the most popular morning shows in New York.
Episode 5- Working for a bright future Cast visit Univision's Coco Cabrera radio talk show. Susana begins the construction of her third restaurant. The cast goes on a foto shoot for My Lifestyles Magazine. Part of the cast meets with Dominican politician Zorilla Ozuna. .
Episode 6- Clarifying things Chachi is in the studio recording her first solo. Susana is giving her friend advice about opening a new business. Chachi and Meiling discuss about misunderstanding.
Episode 7-Closings and Openings Raquel talks to Qiana about closing her restaurant. Jessica takes DJ classes. Chachi takes a friend to a sonogram studio. Katty out to find new location for her new store. Susana's friend inaugurates new nail salon. Raquel, Susana and Meiling go to an event and end up at Tao Lounge. Jessica is the MC at a famous bachatero's concert Anthony Santos.
Episode 8- The music inside Jessica is out to buy a new car but wants to get the best price. . Susana starts construction on yet another restaurant. Jessica is master of ceremonies of a beauty pageant little girls. Chachi and Raquel get into a heated argument about the music for the show. Katty and Raquel talk about options for the music of the show. Meiling celebrates her birthday at a famous steakhouse in the city.
Episode 9- Totally Passionate Jessica is the at a press conference for Don Miguelo. Raquel spends the day on the Infinity Yacht with Tono Rosario. Susana presents her new Chef with singer Felix D'Oleo at Mamajuana Paterson. Jessica gets interviewed at a local TV station and it turns into a hottest for local anchor. Raquel has beauty day in two states.
Episode 10- The Start of something New Cast visit opening of new restaurant. Susana presents two regueton stars at her restaurant in Paterson. Katty and Jessica visit a friend and give her vaginal rejuvenation advise. Cast gathers at Subrosa Restaurant for the premiere of the show.
Episode 11- Life is a beach Katy shows us a day of work when she is in the Dominican Republic. Meiling will design strategy for Dr. Compton. Susana decides to take a spa day. Jessica presents Circus. Meiling and local instagram star go food shopping.
Episode 12- The Meeting of the survivors There are 7 participants but not all will be able to take the pressure. Only those who survived will be talking about because why they understand that the others did not come and you will see the difficult times as well as the funniest moments of the season.
