NGC 3808B is a spiral or lenticular galaxy that is interacting with NGC 3808A, creating a pair of galaxies called Arp 87. A luminous bridge of material physically connects the two galaxies and can be seen wrapping around NGC 3808B in a polar ring orbit. Bright blue star clusters can be seen in the bridge and polar rings, which is indicative of ongoing star formation activity in the area.
