Profiles

The NDR Radiophilharmonie is the symphony orchestra of the broadcaster Norddeutscher Rundfunk (NDR) in Hanover (Germany), the capital of Lower Saxony. It was founded in 1950 as Rundfunkorchester Hannover, of the then NWDR, and after 1955 under the NDR continued first under Rundfunkorchester Hannover, then Radiophilharmonie Hannover. The current name has been used since 2003.
