History

In 1994, William Michael Mushkin founded Mushkin, Inc. in Pflugerville, Texas. The company started its business supplying memory modules to Macintosh users.

On May 11, 2000, Ramtron International Corporation (NASDAQ: RMTR) and its subsidiary, Enhanced Memory Systems, announced an agreement to acquire Mushkin through a merge. On 8 December 2008, Mushkin moved its headquarters south, to Inverness, a suburban tech center in Englewood, Colorado. The company wanted more space and a building more suitable for light manufacturing, assembly, R&D, and component testing.
