Orais has been an advocate of low-carbon lifestyle. In an interview with Top Gear Philippines in August 2011, she promoted the use of hybrid vehicles and made a statement that "hybrids are one solution to having cleaner air because their fossil-fuel consumption is cut down to almost half, and so is their emission level. And also, going back to the basics (walking and riding a bike) is one of the best ways to having a cleaner environment."
