History

Muralplast was first launched in the 1960s and became known as a coatings product for exterior and interior protection and decoration. S. Lucas extended the range of products and re-launched the brand in July 2010.

Products

Under the overall Muralplast brand there are four distinct product ranges.

The first, M-Guard, is a range of surface treatments providing protection from the weather, pollution and vandalism . These treatments are intended to extend the life of buildings and reduce maintenance cycles. They are backed by a 10-year warranty from AXA Insurance.

MSP or Multi Surface Paint is a coating formulated to provide a consistent finish across the range of internal and external surfaces. S. Lucas used MSP coatings for metal, pipework, ducting, galvanised soffits and masonry at the London 2012 Olympic Stadium and at the Westfield Stratford City shopping centre.

ArmourColor is a range of luxury decorative wall finishes incorporating high safety and environmental standards. These finishes have been used at Bluewater Shopping Centre, Heron Tower in the City of London and for Mercedes Benz.

The fourth product is M-Tred floor resins. These are designed to be durable floor finishes, formulated for buildings that are required to meet high health and safety standards or other special regulations. These include educational, healthcare and pharmaceutical establishments as well as industrial facilities.

Interactive website

The company relaunched its website in October 2011, and includes NBS Plus, the National Building Specification toolkit, allowing architects and other specifiers planning construction or refurbishment projects to study the technical properties and test data available on the company’s products in order to confirm they meet required specifications.

Professional practices may also access details of the company’s fully accredited Continuous Professional Development seminars on the website.
