Kumari Arivial Peravai
Velaian formed the Kumari Arivial Peravai in 2003. Many teachers from various schools, scientists, doctors and eminent people are voluntarily involved in the forum with an objective to develop the children for the future of India. The team realized the true potential of the children and are taking various steps to develop the children
He organizes many programs like Science exhibition, Scientist students interaction, Science Camp, Coastal Camp, Bio-diversity Camps, etc. This helps the students in improving their knowledge and makes them aware of many new things.
Grade VIII students from schools all around Kanyakumari get together and among them 56 students are selected for the year training with eminent personalities at various places. The selected 56 students are separated into 5 different group each group with a leader and co-leader from the students and Guide Teacher, Coordinator, Team Supporter, Resource Person, Talent Motivator, Scientist, General Consultants and Doctor Consultant who help the students throughout the year. Each year a topic is chosen and the students research and come up with articles on it and is published in the book KUMARI ARIVIAL PERAVAI every year. Here the students get quite a lot of exposure and training which molds them to become a better student. No student is thought high or low. To bring out the hidden talent of each students, they are asked to talk and present presentations in various places. This makes the bold enough and gives them the courage to talk in front of anyone. "Experience is a good teacher." The students are taken to various places like Indian Institute of Space Science & Technology, Valiamala, Coasts of kanyakumari district, Govt. Medical College, Asaripallam and etc.... Each place they go they learn something unique which helps them come out in flying colors. Be a member of KAP and get the pride of serving humanity.
