Sree Mahadevar Temple of the Mulavana Mahadevar Devaswom in Mulavana Cherry in Mulavana village of Kollam Taluk is an ancient temple of repute. It has brought glory and fame to the place. The temple is the principal place of worship of people of the Mulavana Village and neighbouring places. The temple is a place of public worship and the people are entitled to enter the temple and worship there as of right. The Kadalayi Mana had hereditary urainma right for managing the affairs of the temple and the property belonging to it.

The temple hosts the Mahashivaratri festival in the month of ‘Kumbham’ (February/March). Shivaratri day is very special for the people over Mulavana and neighboring villages. This festival is celebrated without the boundaries of caste and religion.

God Sastha, god Ganapathi, goddess Yakshiyamma and god Nagaraja are there in ‘Prathishta’ along with lord Mahadevan.

From 5 am to 9am and 5pm to 8pm, the temple will be open for the devotees
