Muhammad Siddique Dar (محمد صدىق دار)(July 2, 1935 – July 7, 2013) is a Sufi saint in tauheediyah order. He was second successor in Silselah-i-Tauheediyah. His worthy contributions after Abdus Sattar Khan presented the true sense of tauheediyah order in accordance with the dreams of Hazrat Khawja Abdul Hakeem Ansari - the founder of Silselah-i-Tauheediyah.

Family

His father was Imam Uddin Dar and grandfather’s name was Hassan Muhammad. His grandfather settled first in the village Nokhar near Gujranwala. His family from the maternal grandfather was from Marali Wala that is in the close proximity of Gujranwala. His family linage is from Abdus Saboor Dar – the saint who migrated from Kashmir to Punjab. His shrine is in Ballooki where his death anniversary is celebrated regularly. Muhammad Siddique Dar Tauheedi was married to Kundan Bibi who was resident of Wangey near Hafizabad.He had two sons and two daughters – Shagufta Kauser, Khalid Mahmood Dar, andHamid Mahmood Dar, and Shabana Tabassum.

Education

He recited the Holy Quran at home under supervision of his uncle. He started his early education in Nokhar then proceededfor further education in Qila Deedar Singh. A renowned name among his teachers was of Maulana Fateh Muhammad Jalandhri – translator and interpreter of the Holy Quran. Maulana Fateh Muhammad Jalandhri migrated from Amritsar and settled in Gujranwala. He passed his matriculation with distinction from Qila Deedar Singh.

Job and business

He started his career from Pakistan Air Force on February 13, 1952. He was deputed on various bases of Pakistan Air Force during his entire career. He was in Lahore as Corporal on 1959. In 1959, he moved to Chaklala Airbase. He was transferred to Risalpur in 1964. He was deputed to Korangi in 1972. In 1977, he became the first Ground Safety Officer in Mianwali. In June 1978, he left for Libya on deputation. He performed his official duties for four years in Libya - 1978 - 1982. Finally, he retired from his service in June 1982.

His both sons were on job in 1982. Elder son Khalid Mahmood Dar was in Punjab Police and younger son Hamid Mahmood Dar was Commissioned Officer in Pakistan Army. He started own business in his native town - Nokhar. This cloth business was handed over to his nephew in 1997.

Distinctions and awards

Muhammad Siddique Dar Tauheedi has some distinctions, honors, and awards. He was topper in instructor course of 1971. He was awarded with 'Chief of Air Staff Commendation Certificate' in 1976 during his stay at Korangi. He was in the first Ground Safety Officer batch that was deputed to Mianwali. He was appreciated by the editor of Flight Safety Newsletter due to his first publication entitled 'Technical Flight Safety' when he was Sergeant. This article - "Technical Flight Safety' was declared the best article of the year and he received cash price for this excellent contribution. He was awarded with 'Tamgha-i-Khidmat - II', in 1978, during his stay at Mianwali. This award - 'TK-2' is given by the President of Islamic Republic of Pakistan, in the annual ceremony of March 23. He received this award and cash price from Lahore after completion of his deputation in Libya. Cash is awarded to TK-2 holders on monthly basis with salary and pention onward. His deputation period was extended to four years out of routine practices.

Introduction to Silselah-i-Tauheediyah

He was deputed at Pakistan Air Force Base Lahore as Corporal in 1959. Naseem Ahmad was one from his colleagues who introduced him to Silselah-i-Tauheediyah. He joined Silselah-i-Tauheediyah as a Taalib. He started recitations from the early days and completed probation period in six months. He took oath of allegiance on the hands of Hazrat Khawja Abdul Hakeem Ansari, in Rawalpindi, in his first meeting on October 20, 1959. He was assigned the task of circle in charge of Rawalpindi in the very next year. Hazrat Khawja Abdul Hakeem Ansari diclared him his authorized person in 1961.

Spiritual distinctions

He was assigned the task of Tauheediyah circle Rawalpindi within one year after taking oath of allegiance in Tauheediyah order of spiritual discipline. Within two years, he was announced as an authorised person by Hazrat Khawja Abdul Hakeem Ansari. Hazrat Khawja Abdul Hakeem Ansari preferred to stay with him during his visits to Tauheediyah circles. Muhammad Siddique Dar Tauheedi delivered annual address of Hazrat Khawja Abdul Hakeem Ansari in the annual convention 1974. Out of fifteen annual conventions the sole annual convention of 1974 was held at Aastana-i-Tauheediyah, 92-G, Model Town, Lahore, Pakistan.

He was close to Hazrat Khawja Abdul Hakeem Ansari in administrative affairs of Silselah-i-Tauheediyah. Hazrat Khawja Abdul Hakeem Ansari adopted his few opinions and suggestions for Silselah-i-Tauheediyah. He presented the drafted monogram of Silselah-i-Tauheediyah. His proposals for three days convention at the week end was accepted, Similarly, He proposed changes in recitation arrangements of golden chain that was approved. He established some Tauheediyah libraries on various Airbases.

Selection as shakh-i-silselah

Shakh Silselah-i-Tauheediyah Abdus Sattar Awan died on December 1991 without any nomination or announcement for his succession. His son in law grasped the assets of sislelah-i-Tauheediyah keeping aside all ethical values. Authorized persons gathered in a meeting at Gujranwala and selected Muhammad Siddique Dar Tauheedi as Shakh Silselah-i-Tauheediyah. Participants including authorized persons took oath of allegiance at his hands. He controlled the affairs of Silselah-i-Tauheediyah in 1991.

Announcement of succession

He nominated Muhammad Yaqoob Tauheedi as his successor in his life and announced his decision during his annual address during the annual convention 2011 of Silselah-i-Tauheediyah. This nomination was according to the prescribed procedure of Tareeqat-iTauheediyah - the book by Hazrat Khawja Abdul Hakeem Ansari that is considered as the constitution of silselah-i-Tauheediyah.

Death

He was at Markaz Taameer-i-millat on July 7, 2013 and taken to military hospital Gujranwala at midnight. Where he could not survive and died due to Cardinal Arrest. This Cardinal Arrest was caused due to acute failure of kidneys. His funeral ceremony was performed at Markaz Taameer-i-millat and was buried in the compound of Markaz Taameer-i-millat Gujranwala.
