Mount Borchgrevink (72°7′S 23°8′E) is a mountain, 2,390 metres (7,840 ft) high, standing 3 nautical miles (6 km) south of the Tanngarden Peaks in the Sør Rondane Mountains. It was mapped by Norwegian cartographers in 1957 from air photos taken by U.S. Navy Operation Highjump, 1946–47, and named for Captain Otto Borchgrevink (Molde 1889 – Cape Town 1966), the leader of the Norwegian whaling expedition 1930–31, which mapped the coast of Antarctica from 51°30′E to 59°0′E.
