Mount Avoca Vineyard is a winery located in the Pyrenees Wine Region of Victoria, Australia near the town of Avoca. Established by John and Arda Barry in 1970 it produces red wines from grape varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz, Merlot and Tempranillo. Their white wines include Sauvignon blanc, Chardonnay and Viognier.

History

The original vineyard was planted in 1970, the house in 1971 and winery in 1978. Sold in 2001 to the ill-fated Barrington group, it was bought back by Matthew Barry in 2003.
