Motel was an Australian television soap opera made by ATN-7 in 1968.

Synopsis

The series was screened in a daytime slot and was an attempt, albeit ill-fated at an Australian version of the British serial Crossroads. Motel dealt with the Gillian family, who ran the Greenfields Motel of the series title.

Production

The series had a cast of thirteen regulars and required three days in the studio each week. Each episode was thirty minutes and the program screened at midday four days a week, with the episode repeated late at night. The show was shot in black-and-white. It had a run of 132 episodes. Writers included Creswick Jenkinson.
