Morad Fareed (born September 14, 1979) is a New York-based entrepreneur and former professional athlete.

Career
Born in New York State, Fareed was a member of the first Palestine national football team in its attempt to qualify for the 2006 FIFA World Cup. Although Palestine did not qualify for the World Cup, Fareed appeared in one preliminary match against Iraq on 16 November 2004.
He was featured in the 2006 film Goal Dreams, a documentary directed by Maya Sanbar and Jeffrey Saunders that follows the Palestinian national team in their attempt to qualify for the World Cup.
Morad is the founder and CEO of Square Roots, a discovery company focused on empowering women throughout the pregnancy experience by connecting the dots of existing care models to human needs. Prior to founding Square Roots, Morad co-founded and served as Managing Partner of Delos Living where he helped to pioneer the WELL Building Standard™ and Wellness Real Estate™. As an industry creator, Delos Living partnered with an array of the finest medical, scientific, design, and philanthropic institutions to create the first building standard focused exclusively on improving health through an international portfolio of healthy homes, offices, hotels, schools, and health care facilities.
Earlier in his career, Fareed developed and worked at Starwood Hotels and Resorts, where he managed more than $2 billion in hotel development projects, including development of Starwood’s green LEED-certified properties. In the financial sector, Fareed previously worked at Goldman Sachs as an Analyst in the company’s Equities and Fixed Income units, and at First Manhattan Consulting Group, a management consulting organization. While at Goldman Sachs in 2000, Fareed co-founded his first successful startup, a telecommunications company, International Communication Systems that established VoIP telecommunications services throughout the developing world. In 2006, Fareed took time out to try out for, and then eventually joined the Palestine National Soccer Team. He helped the team qualify for the 2006 FIFA World Cup™ in Germany, and continued to play with the team for two years where he won 3 Caps from FIFA.
Fareed graduated from New York University’s College of Arts and Science where he studied Philosophy and Economics, was an Academic All American, Arthur Ashe Award Recipient, Soccer Team Captain and MVP. He serves as an Advisory Board Member to several organizations, including the Smithsonian’s Science Education Center, the Cleveland Clinic's Wellness Institute, and will.i.am’s the i.am.angel Foundation. He is the Founding Partner of the Clinton Foundation’s 2030 Initiative™ and a member of the U.S. Conference of Mayors' Business Council. He is a native of New York and lives in Manhattan.
