Taimoor Salahuddin better known by his stage name Mooroo (Urdu: مورو) is a Pakistani entertainer, singer-songwriter, actor, director, producer and vlogger. Since the beginning of his career in 2011, his songs or music videos has been nominated for Lux Style Awards five times, winning it once in 2016. He is also co-founded and managing director of Karachi-based production company Aflatoon Studios.

Early life and career

Taimoor Salahuddin was born in Lahore, Pakistan. He attended Aitchison College and Beaconhouse National University. He also studied filmmaking in the United States. In an interview Mooroo said that his sister could not pronounce his name "Taimoor" and used to call him "Moro" or "Mooroo" which became his stage name.
Mooroo released his debut single "Patakhi Larki" in 2011 then in 2012 he released the single "Awam" with rapper Faris Shafi. He also directed its music video which got him nomination at the 2013 Lux Style Awards for ‘Best Music Video Director’. Mooroo gained popularity in 2013 with his two singles "Tasveer" and "Tere Bina". The single "Tere Bina" won the Fifth Youth Festival award for ‘Voice of the Year’ and its video was called the best video by newspaper DAWN. He was also nominated for Lux Style Award for ‘Best Emerging Talent’ in 2013. In 2014 Mooroo became managing director of production company Aflatoon Studios. He also released a single "Itni Chikni" featuring Ali Gul Pir under Aflatoon Studios. He currently works as the managing director of Aflatoon Studios in Karachi. He has directed as well as acted in several comedy and music videos including Ali Gul Pir's "Kaisa Diya" and Talal Qureshi's "Clubbing in Multan". In April 2015, he released a single "Bandar" which was based on 2014 Peshawar school massacre.
