Monognathus ahlstromi, the paddletail onejaw, is an ocean dwelling, eel-like fish found in the North Pacific Ocean off of the coast of US. They are found up to a depth of 2000 m. They are nonguarders of their young. Little information is currently known about their habits or full distribution.

The dorsal and anal fins of Monognathus ahlstromi lack bony supports.
