Mohammad Ghavidel Syooki (born 1945 in Khorasan province) is a famous Iranian Palynologist and geologist, and currently a professor of Tehran university.

Early life and education
Ghavidel was born and raised in village in Khorasan province of Iran. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from Tehran University in 1974. He attended the University of Michigan for graduate school, and obtained a PhD in Palynology. He is the first person known to hold a college degree in palynology, the study of palynomorphs (fossils).
Career
Ghavidel began his career at the Iran National Oil Organization. He worked there from 1997 until 2007. He is currently a member of directors at Tehran University.
Honors and awards
He was chosen as one of the Ever-lasting people in Iran with his great works in the oil field. He has many publications in palynology, paleontology and geology.
