Mogochinsky District

Mogochinsky District (Russian: Могочинский райо́н) is an administrative and municipal district (raion), one of the thirty-one in Zabaykalsky Krai, Russia. It is located in the east of the krai, and borders with Tungiro-Olyokminsky District in the north, Sretensky District in the south, and with Chernyshevsky District in the west. The area of the district is 25,500 square kilometers (9,800 sq mi). Its administrative center is the town of Mogocha. Population: 25,508 (2010 Census); 27,225 (2002 Census); 37,944 (1989 Census). The population of Mogocha accounts for 52.0% of the district's total population.
