Introduction

A model of teaching is a plan or pattern that can be used to shape curriculum's,to design instructional materials and to guide instruction in the classroom.

  • Types of teaching models

  • Classroom Teaching- It helps to strengthen one's responsibility to oneself and others.This model has rules and structure.
  • Graffiti model- In this model the students are asked to given written responses to questions posed by teachers.
  • Jigsaw model-This model was started originally in 1960's to facilitate racial integration. This is a co-operative learning technique that reduces racial conflict among students,promotes better learning,improves motivation among students and increases enjoyment of learning.
  • Role play model-This is a teaching strategy.It is used by teachers especially to help solve interpersonal problems in the classroom.
