Mobiliya

History

Mobiliya began its operations in 2011 with its headquarters in Silicon Valley and offshore R&D centres in India, China and South Korea. Later, the company took over a part of the Nokia team in Vancouver and started operations in Canada. In the initial years, Mobiliya focused on projects involving core engineering in Android, Linux, and proprietary platforms. In late 2011, the company signed an interoperability agreement with Microsoft to implement enterprise mobility on Microsoft technology stack. Later, Mobiliya expanded its engineering portfolio in segments such as security, internet-of-things, augmented reality, and automotive.

LoRa Alliance: Mobiliya recently joined the LoRa Alliance, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the interoperability and standardization of low-power wide area network (LPWAN) technologies to drive implementation of the Internet of Things. The LoRa Alliance will enable Mobiliya to build on top of the LoRaWAN technologies to help traditional mobile networks leverage new business opportunities by connecting a diverse set of IoT endpoints. Mobiliya will help in integrating LoRa-based devices in the IoT ecosystem with cloud and end user applications.

Industrial Internet Consortium (IIC): Mobiliya has become a member of the Industrial Internet Consortium (IIC), a body that has been at the forefront in providing recommendations and guidelines in the form of the Industrial Internet Reference Architecture (IIRA). Mobiliya, with its deep expertise in the IoT technology landscape will lend key insights and inputs on design consulting & analysis based on IoT reference model, system integration and security of data and devices.
