Miyayama Station (宮山駅, Miyayama-eki) is a train station in the town of Samukawa, Koza District. Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. It is 7.2 rail kilometers from the terminal station of the Sagami Line, Chigasaki.

History

Miyayama Station was opened on July 1, 1931 as a rail siding the Sagami Railway per the request of local inhabitants and worshippers at the nearby Samukawa Shrine. On June 1, 1944, the Sagami Railway was nationalized and merged with the Japan National Railways and Miyayama was elevated to a full station at that time. On April 1, 1987, with the dissolution and privatization of the Japan National Railways, the station came under the operation of JR East. Automated turnstiles using the Suica IC card system came into operation from November 2001.
