Mitter Sain Meet (Punjabi: ਮਿੱਤਰ ਸੈਨ ਮੀਤ; born 20 October 1952) is a Punjabi novelist.

Early life and education

Mitter was born in Bhotna a village in Punjab, India. In 1962 his family moved to Barnala. Meet completed his B.A. degree (Honours in Maths) from S.D. College Barnala in 1972 and completed law degree from Punjab University Chandigarh in 1976 where he stood second in the university. Meet joined Govt. of Punjab as Assistant Public Prosecutor in 1979 and retired as D.A. from Ludhiana in 2011.
