Mission Possible is Christian humanitarian organization located in Vancouver's Downtown Eastside district. The organization helps residents of the area escape poverty by managing personal issues related to addiction, homelessness, and job-readiness. MP's primary operating method is to provide the basic workplace skills and experience needed by residents seeking economic independence.

Services and social enterprises

Mission Possible is organized into these departments:

  • MP Community - Serves immediate client need including meals, clothing, crisis counseling, advocacy, referrals, and spiritual support.
  • Momentum Workshop - Teaches area residents how to apply for and maintain gainful employment.
  • MP Maintenance - Provides training and direct short-term employment in property maintenance tasks such as window washing, graffiti removal, painting, and general grounds cleanup.
  • MP StudioWorks - Encourages and employs painters, carvers, potters, sculptors, and musicians in the pursuit of artistic expression and entrepreneurship.
  • MP Neighbours - Trains residents in local cultural competency and the ability to effectively manage threatening situations, in order to contribute to community safety and security.
  • Recycling Pick-Up - Works together with a local recycling company to perform home and office materials recycling pickup.
  • MP Recycling - Works with Vancouver's hospitality industry to recycle used bar soaps and similar materials which would otherwise end up in landfill.
