Miss Universe Slovenia 2009, the 9th Miss Universe Slovenia pageant held at Ljubljana Exhibition and Convention Centre in Ljubljana, Slovenia on May 9, 2009. Miss Universe Slovenia, Anamarija Avbelj, will crown her successor at the end of this event. About 16 delegates are expected to compete.

The winner will be the representative for Slovenia at the Miss Universe 2009 pageant in Nassau, Bahamas.

In the final round, Mirela Korač, was crowned Miss Universe Slovenia 2009 by Anamrija Avbelj, Miss Universe Slovenia 2008.

Historical significance

  • Ljubljana won the pageant for the second time since Tjaša Kokalj won Ljubljana's first Miss Universe Slovenia title in 2007.
  • Maribor 1st Runner-up Miss Universe Slovenia back-to-back 2008 and 2009.
  • Municipalities who also entered the top 16 previous year were Maribor and Ljubljana.

  • Bled, Celje, Domžale, Jesenice, Koper, Lukovica, Litija, Šempeter-Vrtojba, Zagorje ob Savi and Žalec did not compete in Miss Universe Slovenia 2009.
