Miss Russia (Russian: Мисс Россия) is a national Beauty pageant in Russia.

History

The pageant has been running since 1992, however there was no Miss Russia 1994, 2000 or 2008.

Since 2007, the winner of Miss Russia represents her country in both Miss World and Miss Universe. However, if she's unable to participate, a runner-up is sent instead.

Russia has won three major international titles: Miss World 1992, Miss Universe 2002, who was later dethroned, and Miss World 2008.

The following women have represented Russia in the following international beauty pageants: Miss World, Miss Universe, Miss International, and Miss Earth.

Miss Universe

The Miss Universe pageant began in 1952 and since then Russia has had 8 representatives classify in the finals including: 1 winner, 2 runner-ups, 3 finalists and 2 semi-finalists.

Notes:

  • No representatives were sent in 1952-1993.
  • Oksana Fyodorova was dethroned from the title of Miss Universe 2002 four months after her win. Justine Pasek, the 1st Runner-up from Panama took over the title.
  • Miss World

    The Miss World pageant began in 1951 and since then Russia has had 10 representatives classify in the finals including: 2 winners, 1 runner-up, 1 finalist, 5 semi-finalists and 1 quarter-finalist.

  • No representatives were sent in 1951-1991.
