Miss Imagen USA is a national beauty pageant that has been held since 2010. It is responsible for selecting the country's delegates to many international beauty pageants such as Miss Teen Earth International, Miss Mesoamerica International, Miss Piel Dorada International and the International Pineapple's Reign.

Produced by Gems Talent, the Miss Imagen USA competition provides personal and professional opportunities for young Latina women in the United States.

History

Miss Imagen USA started in 2010 as Miss Imagen Utah, a local pageant to find a Latin woman to represent the state, promoting community service and exposing contemporary issues, particularly those of relevance to the Latino community. After a successful year the organization decided to open the entry opportunities to any young woman living in the United States and in 2011 the pageant changed its name to Miss Imagen USA. Since then, the organization has sent the winners and runners up to international pageants representing the USA.

Competition

The Miss Imagen USA pageant starts with an open casting call four months before the final event, a group of selected judges choose the official contestants. From there they start an intensive training program to improve catwalk, image, make-up, public speaking and other skills required for the competition. Semi-finalist do an official photoshoot with Ethan Killian and participate in fashion shows, community services, TV and radio shows. At the final event all contestants are judged in swimsuit and evening gown, and after that the finalists are chosen, only them proceed to the final question portion of the competition.
