Mir Sa'id Muhammad Khan, Salabat Jang (November 24, 1718 – September 16, 1763 in Bidar) was the Nizam (ruler) of Hyderabad. He was the third son of Nizam-ul-Mulk, Asaf Jah I, Nizam of the Deccan. He was appointed as Deputy Viceroy to his elder brother, Ghaziuddin, in 1751. He was proclaimed at the camp near Lakkireddipalli, at French instigation.

Birth
Nawab Sa'id Muhammad Khan Siddiqi Bahadur was born in Hyderabad as the third son of Asaf Jah I before 24 November 1718.
Official title
His official title is Amir ul-Mamalik, Asaf ud-Daula, Nawab Sa'id Muhammad Khan Siddiqi Bahadur, Zafar Jang, Nawab Subadar of the Deccan.
Life
Salabat Jang succeeded as Nizam of Hyderabad after the death of his predecessor and nephew, Nizam Muzaffar Jang. Muzaffar Jang was killed in the Battle of Lakkireddipalli Pass, when the Nawab of Kurnool struck him in the head with a spear on February 13, 1751.
Again the eldest brother of the Nizam, Ghazi-ud-Din Khan Feroze Jung II, was ignored while he was at Delhi serving the Mughal Emperor Ahmad Shah Bahadur. But he would not wait long to contest this ascension. His ascension took place right after the Battle of Lakkireddipalli Pass by the help of French commander Marquis de Bussy-Castelnau.
Salabat Jang was invested by Imperial firman, at Aurangabad, Maharashtra, September 12, 1749. He was granted the titles of Khan Bahadur and Salabat Jang during his father's lifetime and was promoted to Asaf ud-Daula and Zafar Jang in 1751 and Amir ul-Mamalik by the Emperor Alamgir II. He was the ruler of the Hyderabad State in India from 1751 until 1762. Khilwath palace of Hyderabad was built by him.
Death
He was deposed by his brother, Mir Nizam Ali Khan, Asaf Jah II, on July 8, 1762 and ordered held in Bidar Fort prison where he was killed on September 16, 1763. He was buried at Mecca Masjid, Hyderabad. Having had issue two sons at Chowmahalla Palace one on March 12, 1756 and other on March 27, 1759.
