The Minto Group is a private home builder, construction and property management company based in Ottawa with operations in Canada and Florida. Since 1955, The Minto Group has built more than 80,000 new homes, manages 17,000 residential rental homes and apartments and carries a commercial portfolio of more than 2.5 million square feet of office and retail space. In addition to these holdings, the company owns and operates Canada’s largest portfolio of executive furnished suites. Minto also built condominiums in Ottawa, Toronto and Florida.

In 2015, former CEO and current Board of Director Chairman Roger Greenberg was inducted into the Order of Canada. This same year, the Minto Communities Florida division won several awards including a Premier Award at the Eliant Homebuyer’s Choice Awards and a silver award for Best Welcome Centre – Isle of Collier Preserve at the National Association of Home Builders awards.

In 2014, Roger Greenberg won the 2014 Life Achievement Award presented by the Ottawa Business Journal and the Ottawa Chamber of Commerce at the Best Ottawa Business Awards (BOBs). Later that year, Michael Waters succeeded Roger Greenberg as CEO and Minto expanded its multi-residential and community business into Calgary.

In 2012, the Minto Place building in Ottawa became the first and largest LEED Platinum Core and Shell office tower in Canada and was named The Outstanding Building of the Year (TOBY®) Awards

On January 8, 2011, it was announced that The Minto Group had purchased the Cherryhill Village complex in London, Ontario from the Esam group. The Cherryhill Village complex includes 13 apartment buildings containing 2,300 apartments and the Cherryhill Village shopping mall. The Cherryhill Village apartments is well known in London as serving primarily senior citizens and secondarily for students.

In 2008, The Minto Group was the first to be named GREEN Builder of the Year by the Ontario Home Builders’ Association and the Minto Midtown Quantum North tower is completed.

In 2006, The Minto Group was named winner of the City of Toronto Green Award of Excellence in Water Efficiency and in 2005 Minto Radiance property in Toronto was the first LEED Silver Condominium in Canada.
