Jason Adam

Jason Kendall Adam is an American professional baseball player for the Minnesota Twins. The right handed pitcher was drafted in the 5th round of the 2010 Major League Baseball Amateur Draft, by the Kansas City Royals.

In his senior season at Blue Valley Northwest High School, Adam pitched 41 23 innings with a 2.16 earned run average. His 79 strikeouts to just 7 walks impressed scouts. Adam signed with the Royals, forgoing his college commitment to the University of Missouri.

On August 11, 2014, Adam was traded to the Minnesota Twins for Josh Willingham.

  • Travis Blankenhorn

    Travis Allan Blankenhorn (born August 3, 1996) is an American professional baseball infielder in the Minnesota Twins organization.

    Blankenhorn attended Pottsville Area High School in Pottsville, Pennsylvania. He was drafted by the Minnesota Twins in the third round of the 2015 Major League Baseball Draft. He made his professional debut with the Gulf Coast Twins and was later promoted to the Elizabethton Twins. Blankenhorn started 2016 with Elizabethton and was promoted to the Cedar Rapids Kernels during the season.

  • Michael Cederoth

    Michael Sean Cederoth (born November 25, 1992) is an American professional baseball pitcher in Minor League Baseball for the Minnesota Twins organization. He previously played college baseball for the San Diego State Aztecs.

    Cederoth attended Steele Canyon High School in Spring Valley, California. The Arizona Diamondbacks selected Cederoth in the 41st round of the 2011 MLB Draft, but he did not sign. He enrolled at San Diego State University to play college baseball for the San Diego State Aztecs baseball team. In 2012, his sophomore year, he suffered a broken jaw when a line drive struck him in the face. Due to inconsistency in his freshman and sophomore year, the Aztecs transitioned Cederoth into a relief pitcher in 2014, his junior year. Serving as the Aztecs' closer, Cederoth had a 6-2 win–loss record, 20 saves, a 2.28 earned run average, and 55 strikeouts in 51 23 innings pitched. After the season, Louisville Slugger named Cederoth a First Team All-American.

    The Minnesota Twins selected Cederoth in the third round, with the 79th overall selection, of the 2014 MLB Draft. After he signed, he pitched for the Elizabethton Twins of the Rookie-level Appalachian League where he posted a 4-2 record with a 3.55 ERA. In 2015, he pitched for the Cedar Rapids Kernels, where he went 1-4 with a 4.08 ERA. Cederoth returned to the Kernels in 2016 where he greatly improved, going 4-0 with a 2.45 ERA in 47.2 innings pitched.

    Mitchell Lyn Garver (born January 15, 1991) is an American professional baseball catcher in the Minnesota Twins organization.

    Garver attended La Cueva High School in Albuquerque, New Mexico and played college baseball at the University of New Mexico. He was drafted by the Minnesota Twins in the ninth round of the 2013 Major League Baseball Draft. He sepnt his professional season with the Elizabethton Twins where he batted .243 in 56 games. He spent 2014 with the Cedar Rapids Kernals where he posted a .245 average with 16 home runs and 79 RBI's, and 2015 with the Fort Myers Miracle where he batted .329 in 22 games. After the 2015 season he played in the Arizona Fall League. Garver spent 2016 with both the Chattanooga Lookouts and the Rochester Red Wings, where he posted a combined .270 batting average with 11 home runs and 66 RBI's. He played in the Arizona Fall League after the season for the second consecutive year. The Twins added him to their 40-man roster after the season.

  • Stephen Gonsalves

    Stephen William Gonsalves (born July 8, 1994) is an American professional baseball pitcher in the Minnesota Twins organization.

    Gonsalves attended Cathedral Catholic High School in San Diego, California. He was drafted by the Minnesota Twins in the fourth round of the 2013 Major League Baseball Draft. He was expected to be selected earlier in the draft, but was suspended his senior season for nearly a month. Gonsalves signed with the Twins and made his professional debut with the Gulf Coast Twins. He was later promoted to the Elizabethton Twins. In 2014, he pitched for Elizabeton and the Cedar Rapids Kernels.

  • Niko Goodrum

    Cartier Niko Goodrum (born February 28, 1992) is an American professional baseball infielder for the Minnesota Twins' organization.

    Goodrum attended Fayette County High School in Fayetteville, Georgia. The Minnesota Twins selected Goodrum in the second round, with the 71st overall selection, of the 2010 MLB Draft. He signed, receiving a $514,800 signing bonus, and made his professional debut with the Gulf Coast Twins of the Rookie-level Gulf Coast League.

    With the Elizabethton Twins of the Rookie-level Appalachian League in 2011, Goodrum had a .275 batting average. For the Cedar Rapids Kernals of the Class A Midwest League in 2013, Goodrum batted .260. In 2014, Goodrum played for the Fort Myers Miracle of the Class A-Advanced Florida State League, where he batted .249 with 3 home runs and 49 RBI's and he transitioned from shortstop to third base. Goodrum spent 2015 with both the Chattanooga Lookouts and the Fort Myers Miracle where he posted a combined .232 batting average with 9 home runs and 38 RBI's.

    Goodrum's father, Tim, played college football for Fort Valley State University.

    Zachary Thomas Granite (born September 17, 1992) is an American professional baseball outfielder in the Minnesota Twins organization.

    Granite attended Tottenville High School in Staten Island, New York and played college baseball at Seton Hall University. He was drafted by the Minnesota Twins in the 14th round of the 2013 Major League Baseball Draft. Granite was the Twins Minor League Player of the Year in 2016. The Twins added him to their 40-man roster after the season.

  • Justin Haley

    Justin Haley (born June 16, 1991) is an American professional baseball pitcher in the Minnesota Twins organization.

    He was selected by the Cleveland Indians in the 46th round of the 2010 Draft out of Sierra College but did not sign. Haley transferred to California State University, Fresno, where he posted an 8–4 record with a 2.77 ERA and 117 strikeouts in 120 innings for the Fresno State Bulldogs from 2011 to 2012. A three-year letterwinner and three-time all-league selection, he also played in the basketball team. Haley is described as having a hard fastball, which he throws between 91–93 mph and occasionally will touch 95 mph with heavy downward action. He also features a slider and a changeup with late fade.

    The Red Sox selected Haley in the sixth round of the 2012 MLB Draft out of He came to terms on a contract for a signing bonus of $125,000. Haley debuted professionally with the Short-Season A Lowell Spinners in 2012, as he finished with a 0–1 record and a 1.89 ERA in 13 appearances (12 starts), including 33 strikeouts and 16 walks in 33⅓ innings. He made his full-season debut in 2013 with the Low A Greenville Drive, where he struck out 124 batters in 124⅔ innings en route to a 7–11 record with a 3.68 ERA in 26 appearances, while leading the team in starts (24), strikeouts and innings. The one pockmark on his resume was the 75 walks, which were fourth-most in the South Atlantic League.

    In 2014 Haley was promoted to the High A Salem Red Sox. He went 7–4 with a 2.82 ERA and 74 strikeouts in 19 games (11 starts), giving up just 23 walks in 92⅔ innings (2.7 W/9), a significant improvement over his previous season at Greenville (5.3 W/9). Additionally, he had a solid 1.079 WHIP in his 92-plus innings of work. As a result, he was named SoxProspects.com pitcher of the week for May 12–18 and earned Carolina League pitcher of the week honors for June 2–8. He also made the Carolina League All-Star team earlier this season before being promoted to the Double A Portland Sea Dogs on July 29.

    Haley was promoted to Portland, where he went 3–1 with a 1.14 ERA and a 1.20 WHIP in six starts for the Sea Dogs. Overall, he had a 10–6 record with a 2.35 ERA and 107 strikeouts in 130⅓ innings for Salem and Portland, posting the 3rd best ERA in the Sox minor league system while tying for 5th in wins. He also finished fourth both in strikeouts and WHIP (1.12), and ranked for 8th in innings pitched.

    Haley returned to Portland in 2015, and made 27 starts for a total of 124 innings pitched. He pitched well enough to earn eight quality starts, but was limited by a brief groin injury suffered in mid-May, followed by bad luck and low run support in many outings, ending with a 5–16 record and a 5.15 ERA along with 95 strikeouts and 50 walks. Haley pitched his best outing of the year on August 13, allowing just one hit of shutout ball in seven innings, while striking out six and walking none. It was his longest outing and also matched a team high for the Sea Dogs in 2015. To his credit, Haley only just passed the 100-inning threshold at Double A level.

    In 2016, Haley finished his first Triple-A stint on a high note, as he picked up his 13th combined win between the International League and Eastern League to set a career high. Haley had a 8–6 record with a 3.59 ERA and a 1.13 WHIP in 14 starts for the Pawtucket Red Sox after going 5–4 with a 2.20 ERA and 1.11 WHIP in 12 starts at Portland. Overall, Haley was 13–10 in the season and led all Red Sox minor league pitchers in ERA (3.01) and WHIP (1.12), while ending second in wins and innings (146⅔) and third in strikeouts (126). In addition, he allowed two or less runs in 20 of his 26 starts, and hurled at least six scoreless frames in four of his last seven starts.

    On December 8, 2016, Haley was selected by the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim in the 2016 Rule 5 draft. The Angels traded him to the San Diego Padres for cash, and the Padres traded him with cash or a player to be named later to the Minnesota Twins for Miguel Díaz.

    Travis J. Harrison (born October 17, 1992) is an American professional baseball third baseman and left fielder in the Minnesota Twins organization.

    Harrison attended Tustin High School in Tustin, California and was the Orange County Register's offensive player of the year as a freshman. He was drafted by the Minnesota Twins in the first round of the 2011 Major League Baseball Draft. He signed with the Twins and made his professional debut in 2012 with the Elizabethton Twins. In 2013, he played with the Cedar Rapids Kernels. After spending his first two professional seasons as a third baseman, Harrison was moved to the outfield in 2014 with the Fort Myers Miracle.

    Trevor Hildenberger (born December 15, 1990) is an American professional baseball pitcher in the Minnesota Twins organization.

    Hildenberger attended Archbishop Mitty High School in San Jose, California and played college baseball at the University of California, Berkeley. He was drafted by the Minnesota Twins in the 22nd round of the 2014 Major League Baseball Draft. He made his professional debut with the Gulf Coast Twins.   • Zack Jones

    Zachary Jones (born December 4, 1990) is an American professional baseball pitcher in the Minnesota Twins organization

    Jones attended Santa Teresa High School in San Jose, California, and San Jose State University. The Minnesota Twins selected him in the fourth round of the 2012 MLB Draft. Exposed in the 2015 Rule 5 draft, Jones was selected by the Milwaukee Brewers. Jones strained his right shoulder in spring training with the Brewers, and began the 2016 season on the disabled list. Jones was returned to the Twins on June 19.

    Daniel Bennett Palka (born October 28, 1991) is an American professional baseball outfielder in the Minnesota Twins organization.

    Palka attended Greer High School in Greer, South Carolina. He was drafted by the Philadelphia Phillies in the 19th round of the 2010 Major League Baseball Draft. He did not sign with the Phillies and attended Georgia Tech, where he played college baseball. After his junior year, he was drafted by the Arizona Diamondbacks in the third round of the 2013 MLB Draft.

    Palka made his professional debut with the Missoula Osprey and was later promoted to the Hillsboro Hops. He played for the South Bend Silver Hawks in 2014 and the Visalia Rawhide in 2015. After the 2015 season he played in the Arizona Fall League. On November 10, 2015, Palka was traded for the Diamondbacks to the Minnesota Twins for Chris Herrmann. He started 2016 with the Chattanooga Lookouts and was promoted to the Rochester Red Wings in July. Palka finished 2016 with a combined .254 batting average, 34 home runs and 90 RBI's between both clubs. The Twins added him to their 40-man roster after the season.

  • Greg Peavey

    Gregory S. Peavey (born July 11, 1988) is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Minnesota Twins' organization.

    Peavey attended Hudson's Bay High School in Vancouver, Washington, where he played baseball and basketball. The New York Yankees selected him in the 24th round of the 2007 MLB Draft, but he did not sign. He enrolled at Oregon State University, and played college baseball for the Oregon State Beavers baseball team. After his sophomore year at Oregon State, the Houston Astros selected Peavey in the 32nd round of the 2009 MLB Draft. Peavey did not sign, returning to Oregon State for his junior year. The New York Mets selected Peavey in the sixth round, with the 182nd overall selection, of the 2010 MLB Draft. He agreed to a contract with the Mets.

    In 2014, Peavey pitched for the Binghamton Mets of the Class AA Eastern League. He was named the team's pitcher of the year at the end of the season. At the 2014 Winter Meetings, the Minnesota Twins selected Peavey from the Mets in the Rule 5 draft. In 2015, Peavey pitched for the Chattanooga Lookouts of the Class AA Southern League and the Rochester Red Wings of the Class AAA International League. Peavy finished 2015 with a combined 5.02 ERA between both clubs.

    During the offseasons, Peavey returns to Hudson's Bay and serves as an assistant coach on the basketball team.

    Fernando Ernesto Romero Peralta (born December 24, 1994) is a Dominican professional baseball pitcher in the Minnesota Twins organization.

    Romero signed with the Minnesota Twins as an international free agent in November 2011. He made his professional debut in 2012 with the Dominican Summer League Twins and pitched 2013 with the Gulf Coast Twins. After three starts with the Cedar Rapids Kernels in 2014, Romero suffered a partially torn ulnar collateral ligament which required Tommy John Surgery. The injury ended his 2014 season and caused him to miss the entire 2015 season.

    Romero returned from the injury in 2016 and started the year with Cedar Rapids, and after five starts was promoted to the Fort Myers Miracle. Romero ended 2016 with a combined 1.89 ERA in 90.1 innings pitched between both clubs. The Twins added him to their 40-man roster after the season.

    Whitefield, who was a softball player in Australia, was signed by the Twins and the Brisbane Bandits of the Australian Baseball League in 2015. In 2013, he was a postseason All-Star of the Gulf Coast League, after hitting .298/.370/.366 with 31 stolen bases in 51 games. He ranked second in batting average in the 2016-17 Australian Baseball League season, hitting .338/.379/.490 with 20 stolen bases and 4 home runs in 39 games.
