Minister of National Economy of Hungary

The Minister of National Economy of Hungary (Hungarian: Magyarország nemzetgazdasági minisztere) is a member of the Hungarian cabinet and the head of the Ministry of National Economy. The current minister of national economy is Mihály Varga.

The position was called Minister of Finance (Hungarian: pénzügyminiszter) from 1848 to 2010, with the exception of a short period in 1919, when it was known as People's Commissar of Finance (Hungarian: pénzügyi népbiztos) during the Hungarian Soviet Republic.
