Parlano MindAlign is a group chat solution used as an alternate to email for large enterprise. This real-time chat solution enables organization to initiate and maintain topic based conversations with in group of people. Because of its persistent feature, all chat communications are archived and can be searched at a later stage.

MindAlign is used most notably in the financial services industry.

Early History

Originally developed at UBS AG as an internal group chat solution. The product was sold to Parlano Inc, in the year 2000. As an industry proven solution in UBS, Parlano took MindAlign to other financial and non financial enterprises.

History and Acquisition

Microsoft acquired it in 2007. Microsoft sold MindAlign 6 (latest released version at that time) to Aditi Technologies Ltd in the same year. When Aditi acquired MindAlign in 2007, it had also inherited 56 of its customers, which include 5 of the top 7 global banks.

Present Situation

MindAlign is now owned by Aditi Technologies, Bangalore, India. After more than 15 years of creation of parlano, MindAlign is still used by many clients in Europe and the US.

The MindAlign codebase is also still part of the Microsoft Lync 2010 Group Chat.
