Mina Ehsan Leghari (born 1969) is a Politician, former MNA ( Member of the National Assembly of Pakistan), founder of Gul e Fatima NGO, Head of the Governing body of South Punjab Institute of Science and Technology and the author of " Dynamics of Power Politics in South Punjab".

Early life

Leghari was born on 2 May 1969 in Kabul, Afghanistan. After the Soviet invasion,she left Afghanistan along with her family traveled to Pakistan en route to Delhi and stayed there for a year. Due to deteriorating political conditions in Afghanistan, the entire family moved to Germany via London as refugees, finally settling in the East Bay region of California, USA.

Education

Leghari graduated from San Francisco State University with Bachelor of Arts and Masters of Arts in International Relations. During this time she got married to Jaffer Khan Leghari, a prominent figure of Pakistan's leading political family. She then permanently settled in Pakistan. In 2015, she completed her PhD degree from Punjab University in Political Science.

Political career

She has been MNA (Member of National Assembly of Pakistan) in General Musharraf era. She also worked as Chairperson Tourism for five significant years.
