Mills Memorial Hospital is a medical facility located in Terrace, British Columbia with 39 acute care beds. History
Mills Memorial Hospital was named in memory of Bob Mills, an engineer who working on the railway at the time that the hospital was built. Bob Mills was a Professor of Engineering at the University of British Columbia. Mills helped to design and build much of the logging infrastructure along Highway 16 and through Vancouver Island. Mills and his family also bred a new breed of strawberry that could grow in northern climates. This hybrid strawberry still grows in many gardens in northern B.C.
