As of the census of 2010, there were 1,353 people, 612 households, and 345 families residing in the town. The population density was 55.8 inhabitants per square mile (21.5/km2). There were 1,009 housing units at an average density of 41.6 per square mile (16.1/km2). The racial makeup of the town was 95.1% White, 0.2% African American, 0.8% Native American, 0.1% Asian, 2.8% from other races, and 0.9% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 6.2% of the population.
There were 612 households of which 23.2% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 45.4% were married couples living together, 7.4% had a female householder with no husband present, 3.6% had a male householder with no wife present, and 43.6% were non-families. 37.1% of all households were made up of individuals and 20.7% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
