Career
Prior to joining Hitachi Solutions America, Mike Gillis was Senior Vice President of Microsoft Dynamics for Hitachi Consulting from June 1, 2007 until March 31, 2012. Gillis joined Hitachi Consulting as part of Hitachi Consulting’s acquisition of Iteration2, a recognized leader among global Microsoft Dynamics Partners. Gillis cofounded Iteration2 on January 1, 2004, with Gary Peterson and Greg Carter. Iteration2 delivered a Tier-1 enterprise software experience at a Tier-2 price, providing industry focus and Tier-1 processes and tools. Even after the Iteration2 acquisition, Carter, Gillis and Peterson continue to work together at Hitachi Solutions America, Ltd., Business Solutions Group (BSG).

Gillis joined Hitachi Solutions America and served as Chief Operating Officer and Board Member from April 1, 2012, to March 31, 2014. On April 1, 2014, Gillis became President and Global Chief Operating Officer of Hitachi Solutions America, Business Solutions Group (BSG). Hitachi Solutions America is the global subsidiary of Hitachi Solutions, a $3.5b Global IT Products and Services division of Hitachi Limited. Hitachi Solutions America is the operating unit for the United States and the parent company to Hitachi Solutions Europe, Hitachi Solutions India, and Hitachi Solutions Canada.
During Gillis' tenure as Global Chief Operating Officer, Hitachi Solutions America has been recognized as the Global Dynamics Partner of the Year and CRM Partner of the Year by Microsoft. Individually, he has received the Microsoft Partner Eagle Award and was the first to be inducted into the Microsoft Dynamics Partner Hall of Fame.

Gillis also has been recognized as the second most influential person in the Microsoft Dynamics Community by Dynamics World Top 100 list. Personal life
Gillis and his wife are regular supporters of the church, education, entrepreneurial ventures and the arts, acting as contributors, founders and board members. He has been married to his wife, Maribeth, for twenty-five years and has two daughters in college.
