History

Cahen started playing guitar at the age of 13 after relocating from Richmond, to Montpellier, France.

He attended the Musicians Institute in Hollywood, Los Angeles between 1984 and 1986.

Returning to Europe to live in Paris, he embraced session work and touring and production with notably singer Amanda Fahey, the daughter of arranger Brian Fahey.

In 1999 he was enrolled by pianist/musical director Jean Roussel to back British singer Elkie Brooks and toured with her between 1999 and 2005, either as sole guitarist or with late Cornish guitarist Al Hodge, with whom was recorded the album Live 2000 or with Geoff Whitehorn as on the album Don't Cry Out Loud, recorded at the Shepherds Bush Empire, London and released in 2005.

He is featured on the Naked album by the Rasta poet Benjamin Zephaniah including Jean Roussel, Alvin Lee, Dennis Bovell and produced by Trevor Morais.
