Johnson is the director of music videos and documentary and fiction films, many of which blur the distinction between the two practices. In 2015 Johnson directed "Forever Professor," an award winning 30 minute documentary on Mark McKinley: an eccentric college professor who amassed the world’s largest collection of talking clocks. In July 2017, the film was released online.
