Mihintale line is a 5 ft 6 in (1,676 mm) gauge railway line in Sri Lanka which starts from Anuradhapura and ends at Mihintale. The length of this line is about 7 miles and there are no stations between the termini. This line was built in 1993.

This line branches off from northern line at Mihintale Junction in Anuradhapura.

Operations

Trains are not regularly operated on this line. Trains are operated only during the Vesak season. There is a high demand for the transport services from Anuradhapura to Mihintale on this season. The train takes about 30 minutes to complete the journey.

On Vesak seasons free trains are operated.
