Contents

The song was the title track of the Hillsong 2006 album Mighty to Save released 2 July 2006 and recorded live on 5 March 2006 at the Sydney Entertainment Centre, Sydney, Australia. In that 6 minute 50 second rendition, Reuben Morgan was the worship leader, with supporting main vocals by Darlene Zschech & Joel Houston. The musicians Nigell Hendroff at Guitar Workshop and Rolf Wam FJell at Drum Workshop

The lyrics praise the might of Jesus as mover of mountains (referring to Matthew 17:20) and as God conquering the grave (referring to his Resurrection). The refrain says:

Saviour, He can move the mountains
My God is mighty to save
He is mighty to save
Forever author of salvation
He rose and conquered the grave
Jesus conquered the grave

The bridge repeats the faith in him:

Shine your light and let the whole world see
We're singing, for the glory of the risen king
