Mighty Cat Masked Niyander (Japanese: ニャニがニャンだー ニャンダーかめん, Hepburn: Nyani ga nyanda nyandā kamen) is a 2000 children's anime series produced by Sunrise, loosely based on children's book of the same name by author Takashi Yanase. It is directed by Tsutomu Shibayama and written by Mitsuki Nakamura. It aired on both Nagoya Broadcasting Network and TV Asahi from February 6, 2000 to September 30, 2001, with a total of 83 episodes.

Story
Nyago, a young cat living in Cat Town, is chosen to hold the identity of Mighty Cat Masked Niyander. He is kind and truthful in heart and has many friends.
Main characters
Nyago: The real identity of Mighty Cat Masked Niyander. He is the main character of the anime. Whenever he hears anyone calling for help, he transforms into Niyander. He is the true holder of magic sword.
Niyon: He thinks Niyander is his biggest enemy, because Niyander is more famous than him. He is a blue cat.
Con: An anthropomorphic fox and Niyon's assistant. She tries to help him to realize his plans.
Nyanta: One of Nyago's friends, he is an orange cat with stripes. He wants to be as strong as Niyander.
Miyako: She is also one of Nyago's friends. She is friendly and polite.
Kachin: Another of Nyago's friends. She is exceptionally smart, and she performs many experiments to help her friends.
Ginko: She is Con 's friend. Whenever Con gets into trouble, Ginko helps her.
Sarakichi: Like Con, he is Ginko's guide, and he helps Ginko in her work.
Hihimantu: A yellow lion wearing a black cape and a lite blue mask. He claims himself the king of the Cat Town Jungle.
Supporting characters
Miko: She is Nyago's Sister, but she don't know that her brother is a superhero. But later she becomes "Junior Niyander"
Pidori: A bird who helps Nyago in transforming into Niyander. Whenever Nyago is far away from his home or forgets his bag (where he keeps the costume he uses to transform into Niyander), Pidori brings it to him.
Other characters
Degakongu: A big monkey who helps Niyander.
Chikkikongu: A small monkey who is a friend of Degakongu.
Ultramaru: A tiger who is very kind hearted but loves to drink beer/wine.
Miraemaru: A superhero like Niyander who is covered with bandages. All girls are mad after him too.
