Mickey Beyer-Clausen (April 3, 1975 in Copenhagen) is a Danish-born, serial entrepreneur and philanthropist, based in New York.

Mickey Beyer-Clausen was one of the first Internet pioneers and today he is a mobile media pioneer. He is the founder/co-founder of several technology businesses such as Internet Payment Systems (1997), Speednames (1999), Afilias (2000), Ascio Technologies (2001), Trunk Archive (2004), Mental Workout (2009), and Timeshifter (2017). In addition, he is the founder of Happiness Foundation, which supports multiple charitable organizations worldwide with strategic pro bono consultancy rather than money (2002).

Personal

Mickey Beyer-Clausen is married to Allison Beyer-Clausen (2006) and lives in Southampton, New York with their two children, Anna and Oliver.

Philanthropy

In 2002, Beyer-Clausen formed a foundation called the Happiness Foundation, which supports several international nonprofits with strategic pro bono consultancy. He is recruiting business leaders, management consultants, and experts to volunteer their knowledge to existing nonprofits, accelerating their impact. His foundation was recognized at the Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year (2002) because of its innovative approach providing an alternative to traditional philanthropy. Amongst other projects, Happiness Foundation launched a partnership with UNHCR to build 'Happiness Tents' in refugee camps

Board seats

Beyer-Clausen is currently serving on the advisory board of Health Corps, founded by Dr. Mehmet Oz, to support the foundation's vision to lead a nationwide movement toward a new generation of healthy young people. In the past, Beyer-Clausen has been active in several boards, including with Creative Nation (promoting Danish interests abroad), Afilias (ICANN approved registry of .info top-level domain), and INSEAD Alumni Association Denmark (forum to promote INSEAD and to nourish the network).
