Education
Christiansen received a juris doctorate from the University of Utah S.J. Quinney College of Law in 1995. After graduating from law school, Christiansen served as a law clerk for Judge Tena Campbell, United States District Court Judge for the District of Utah.
Judicial career
In May 2007, Christiansen was appointed as a Third District Court judge until her appointment to the Utah Court of Appeals. Christiansen was appointed to the Utah Court of Appeals by Governor Gary Herbert in June 2010. Herbert stated, "Judge Christiansen has a breadth and depth of experience that will make her a valued member of the Court of Appeals. She has worked in private practice and the public sector, handling criminal and civil matters and interacting with all three branches of government."
