Mikhail Vavich (Russian: Mihail Ivanovich Vavich; 1881, Odessa - 1930, Hollywood) - was a Russian actor, operetta (bass), the popular singer of songs, film actor.

Biography

First performed on stage in St. Petersburg in 1905 in a private operetta of P.V Tumpakov. He received recognition after performing the role of Viscount Cascade in the operetta "The Merry Widow" by Lehar. In 1905-1918 years he sang in the St. Petersburg theater "Buff", "Palace", as well as in Moscow theaters of Y. Schukin, A.E Blumenthal-Tamarina, J.S Zone. According to many, Vavich possessed talent and bright stage was beautiful, the nature of the delivered voice.

In 1918 he emigrated. He lived and worked in Los Angeles. Periodically he appeared in operetta. Filmed in the movies, he has been successful as an artist co-starring in Hollywood (for example, in the famous picture director Lewis Milestone "Two Arabian Knights").
