In August 21, 2017, The State Senate Minority Leader Michael Roberson officially announced that he will be running to be the state of Nevada’s next lieutenant governor. Nevada Senate Republican Caucus leader Roberson’s announcement was highly anticipated but subject upon Nevada’s incumbent Mark Hutchison giving up the position. Nevada’s lieutenant governor Hutchinson announced last week that he would not be seeking second-tern in the 2018 election.
