Michael Donald McCartney Izza has been the chief executive officer of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales since 2006. Izza first joined ICAEW as executive director of finance and operations in 2002, becoming chief operating officer in 2004 and CEO in 2006. Izza is a former member of the British government's Small Business Economic Forum. Izza was formerly a managing director and group finance director of Spring Group plc from 1997 to 2001. Izza trained as an accountant with Coopers & Lybrand. He gained a law degree at Durham University.
