Michael Hindley Coronation Street Actor
Michael Hindley is a British politician, who, from 1984 until 1999, was a Member of the European Parliament (MEP) representing Lancashire East from 1984–94, and Lancashire South from 1994-99. He is a member of the Labour Party In 1997, he was suspended alongside three other Labour MEP after he refused to sign an internal code of practice.

He contested Blackpool North for Labour during the United Kingdom general election, 1983 but lost to the incumbent Conservative.
During The Troubles, he argued against a military British presence in Northern Ireland.
