Mexborough Academy (formerly Mexborough School) is a coeducational secondary school and sixth form located in Mexborough, South Yorkshire, England.

Previously a community school administered by Doncaster Metropolitan Borough Council, Mexborough School converted to academy status in January 2015 and was renamed Mexborough Academy. The school is now sponsored by the Wakefield City Academies Trust but continues to coordinate with Doncaster Metropolitan Borough Council for admissions.

Grammar school

On 7 March 1968 the sixth form of Mexborough Grammar School participated in a discussion programme entitled Sixth Sense on BBC One at 18.40, where they discussed legends, anti-German prejudice, vivisection, and Christmas cards. It was judged by Sir Jack Longland, Sir Christopher Chataway and Mary Holland.
