History

Founded in 2010 by a group of youths metal heads to support local independent rock and metal bands through the middle east, the festival has been organized annually in Egypt

In two years the festival became one of the leading festivals that supports this music locally and then it has developed to be not just the only national festival in Egypt but also the only festival in Middle East that supports rock and metal music as it provides a full music project that supports musicians through workshops that is given by musicians that come with a bigger background and experience in addition to allowing the opportunity for the small bands to share the stage and be under the scope of the audience.

The festival has been bringing independent bands from outside the Arab world (such as Poland, Greece, Russia and Finland) for more culture exchange as we receive a lot of bands’ requests to come and play in the metal blast festival.

With a plan to bring the metal scene back to life and reunion it all once again and to work to deliver new clean image for the metal music and scene in the Arabic society, and create loyal fans to the festival itself providing them good quality experience and also introduce new bands and talents from the local scene and to provide new blood and open new challenges to the local scene to exchange the experience with and foreign bands as they did the Polish scene and bands in good cultural exchange and branding metal blast in new shape and different scale putting Egypt name and festival name in festivals worldwide map.
