Early life and education

Griffiths was born in Ohio, lived in Moscow, Idaho in her teens, attended Moscow High School, and was an undergraduate at the University of Idaho where she earned a B.A. in visual communications in 1997.

Griffiths received an MFA in Film Production from Ohio University School of Film in 2000 or 2001.
Career

In 2011, she directed The Off Hours. The following year, 2012, she directed Eden, which premiered in Austin, Texas.

Griffiths' film Lucky Them starring Toni Collette premiered in the Special Presentation section at the 2013 Toronto International Film Festival.
